Version 1.0 — Effective September 22, 2026
This Creator Payout Policy is the “Creator Payout Policy” referenced in the Open Tool Wall Creator Agreement. “Open Tool Wall” (“we”) is a registered fictitious name owned and operated by Corpus Obscura Inc., a Florida corporation. It explains how creators earn and receive their share of sales. This is not tax or legal advice.
1. Creator share
When Open Tool Wall sells a product derived from your model, you earn twenty percent (20%) of the item sale price for that model. The item sale price is the price of the printed item before sales tax, shipping, and payment-processing fees.
2. When earnings accrue
A sale counts toward your earnings once the order is paid, and it remains counted while the order is processing, shipped, or delivered. Orders that are pending, cancelled, or refunded do not count (see Section 5).
3. Holding period and monthly maturity
Earnings are held before they become payable, to allow for returns and refunds:
- Your available (payable) balance recalculates on the 1st of each month.
- Earnings from sales in a given calendar month are held 60 days from the first day of that month, so they become available on the 1st of the month two months later — for example, January sales become available on March 1.
- Earnings that have not yet matured show as pending and cannot be withdrawn.
4. Requesting a payout
- Payouts are made on demand — you request one when you want it.
- A request is available once your matured balance is at least $50.00. Below $50, the balance rolls over to a future request.
- Payouts are made in U.S. dollars (USD) to U.S.-based creators.
5. Refunds, chargebacks, and adjustments
If a sale is refunded or charged back, the related earnings are removed from your balance. If you were already paid for a sale that is later refunded, the amount is deducted from your current or future balance (your balance may show as negative until offset by new earnings). Open Tool Wall may also adjust balances to correct errors.
6. How you get paid
Payouts are handled through Stripe Connect. Before you can list a model for sale or receive a payout, you complete a one-time, Stripe-hosted onboarding that collects your identity, bank account, and tax details. That information is provided to and held by Stripe, not by Open Tool Wall. You are responsible for keeping your payout and tax details accurate; Open Tool Wall is not responsible for funds sent to details you entered incorrectly.
7. Taxes (U.S. creators)
You are paid as an independent contractor (1099), not an employee, and you are solely responsible for any taxes on amounts you receive. Your taxpayer information is collected during payout onboarding. A Form 1099 will be issued where required by IRS rules. Taxes are not withheld except where required by law (for example, backup withholding for a missing or invalid taxpayer identification number).
8. Changes to this policy or the rate
Open Tool Wall may change this policy, including the 20% rate, on 30 days’ notice. Changes are not retroactive — earnings already accrued before a change are paid under the terms in effect when they were earned.
9. Inactive or unreachable balances
If Open Tool Wall cannot reach you, or your account is closed with a balance owed, Open Tool Wall will hold the balance and pay it when you provide valid payout and tax details. Balances are forfeited only where permitted or required by law.
10. Questions
Contact Open Tool Wall support with any payout question, and we will review and correct any confirmed error. This policy operates under the Open Tool Wall Creator Agreement and the site’s Legal terms, and is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
